A Family Seeks Accountability After A Home Raid

|

After bringing her son home from the courthouse, this client faced an unexpected police operation at her house. Officers had followed them home and entered through both doors. When she asked for a copy of the search warrant, the answer was unambiguous: “No one had it because there was no search warrant.”

To hear her describe what happened and how it was addressed, watch her account.

Brad Showed Up That Same Day

The client had already hired Brad to represent her son before the events at her home unfolded. When officers arrived, she said, “I immediately called Brad.” He came to the house with others to gather information from the family and witnesses.

That response mattered. She believed the situation could have been handled at the courthouse earlier that day, and she described Brad as furious about what had happened and willing to pursue every question the operation raised.

What the Investigation Found

Brad contacted the judge, who was also upset by what had occurred. As the matter was examined, those involved determined the conduct was improper. In the client’s words: “It was illegal. It was wrong, ethically and otherwise.”

For her, taking action wasn’t just about responding to one incident. She wanted a resolution so that, as she put it, “this didn’t happen to anyone again.”

A Resolution the Family Could Accept

The case didn’t go to court. Over what the client described as three to five years, Brad, Jarrod, and their team worked through the issues with the county and other attorneys. She said, “Everyone had been there for us.”

In the end, Brad and Jarrod reached an agreement with the county that the family felt was equitable. That outcome reflected both the seriousness of what this family experienced and the commitment they saw from the legal team throughout.
